teapot incident...

so i put my teapot in a show at second friday in lititz. i knew i shouldn't have put it out, but i was a little too vain and put it out in spite of my gut feeling that something terrible was going to happen to it. Sure enough, the wind blew my friend's painting over onto it and the handle shattered off. I guess it's not that big of a deal but I would really like to try and glue it back together, but i can't find anything that works. I tried an all purpose crazy glue and it got some of the handle together, but it won't attach to the body of the teapot. Any suggestions? oh and the lid is fine though i just didn't put it on.

So that stinks. I think this website is serving as a place to share your pottery woes. Are there any good stories out there?
In terms of glue, there are specific glues that are made for ceramic/glass, and i think you'll be in fine shape if you use them. You should be able to find something at any hardware store. I would try to glue the small part of the handle onto the body first, and then glue the main part of the handle to the small piece and body. Good luck.

thanks for the advice. i'll be sure to put photos up of the nesting bowls i'm making for somebody. I'm making a set of three and another set of five. how much do you think i should charge for them? and i also have a couple of mugs i'm selling; how much for those as well?
